It feels surreal and incredibly rewarding to share that the Australian Wedding Industry Awards™ awarded Raquel Pires Photography the title of No. 1 Wedding Photographer in Greater Sydney — an honour grounded in client votes and professional evaluation.
Following this incredible achievement, I am now a national finalist for Australia’s Photographer of the Year 2025. Fingers crossed — the results will be announced on the 7th of January, 2026.
These milestones reflect the dedication, passion, and authenticity I bring to every story I’m privileged to tell.
In 2023, I was ranked by the same program, among the Top 5 Wedding Photographers in Sydney, and that year I promised myself: “One day I’ll reach the top.” Here we are.

Born in Brazil, based in Sydney, for the past 10 years, I have had the privilege of capturing weddings and editorial projects across Europe and Australia, in destinations like Paris in France, Venice in Italy, Frankfurt in Germany, Costa Brava & Mallorca in Spain, also Brazil.
