5 Tips for Planning a Wedding with Your Dog by Raquel Pires Photography

I'm honoured to have been invited by Michelle Dowse, founder of Pawfect Weddings, to share my thoughts as an international wedding photographer and lifelong dog lover on one of my favourite topics celebrating weddings with our four legged family members.

Pawfect Weddings is a wonderful Australian directory dedicated to helping couples include their beloved pets in one of the most meaningful days of their lives. From pet-friendly venues and suppliers to helpful resources and inspiration, it's a beautiful platform for anyone who believes their wedding wouldn't be complete without their furry best friend.

As someone who shares that same belief, I instantly connected with Michelle's vision. Our pets are so much more than companions, they're family. They've been there through life's biggest moments, so it feels only natural to include them in one of the happiest days of all.

In the interview, I share a few of my favourite tips for planning a dog-friendly wedding, along with one of the most memorable stories I've ever photographed. The story is about a couple who found the most creative way to include their beloved dog, Coco, even though she couldn't physically attend their wedding.
